I am a big 6.5 caliber fan and I would like to see Nosler come out with a Partition bullet that weighs 150 to 160 gr. I have a 260 Rem, 6.5x55 and I am adding a 264 Win Mag. A bullet in this range would be good in all 6.5's but would really be great in the 264 magnum. I am thankful for the bullets you already offer and but would really like to see this one. The Partition would out perform every other bullet in this weight range and round out your already good 6.5mm line up.

Nosler will have to verify this but I seem to remember them offering both a 150 gr and 160 gr Partition in the past. I would think if sales were acceptable they would still offer them.
The trouble with long 6.5 bullets is that the bearing surface/wgt of the bullet limits the velocity you can drive them to. The need for a "super premium" is greater after the bullet velocity excedes 2800 fps and most 6.5s just can`t do this with 160 gr slugs. The 6.5x284 & 264 mag may but the Swede, 260, 6.5x54 can`t. Std bullets work just fine in them.
The guys I know with hotrod 6.5s use 125 partitions, 130 AccuBond, 120 gr X bullets, ect, in light weights at high velocity. This seems to offer the best improvment in the 6.5 cartridges.

My current guns have 1 in 8 twists so should be able to handle any bullet. The 264 win mag will have a 1 in 8 twist too. The 140 Partition is the first bullet I will try in the magnum. I have used it in the smaller cases and know it is an excellent bullet. The heavier bullet is something I would use but I concede that most 6.5 users won't want to use it. This gun will be mostly for sheep and goat but I plan to use it for black bear, deer and caribou where the 140 Partition would be great. We also have elk and moose so in theory a heavier bullet might be better but in practice the 140 could do it all.

I'll call your bonded 140g NP and raise you a 150g AccuBond.

For some reason, Nosler did not follow its own past rational when it came out with the 6.5mm 130g AccuBond. All other previous introductions into new calibers started with a heavy for caliber bullet. Not for the 6.5! I wonder why?

I'm with gerry; give me a heavy with an outstanding BC and SD for the 6.5mm mags. I don't want a fast lightweight that will blow up.
