Help: Need .338 WM reduced loads

I would start with IMR4350 since you have plenty and Nosler list load data for those bullets.

If you want reduced loads for the 338 Win Mag and 200/210 PTs look at RL15, Varget, N540, 4064, etc. load the 210 up to about 2700-2800 and have a blast.

A friend has a 338 Win Mag that he loads a 200 gr Speer bullet in at a mild velocity that is quite nice to shoot in his Browning BBR. I just do not recall what his load and powder choice is at the moment.

Nosler lists H414 with starting loads for their 200 gr bullets at 67.0 gr for 2753 fps, so similar to the 30-06 in performance.
They lso list 61.7 gr of Re-15 at 2734 fps with the 200 gr bullets as a starting load. For the 180 gr bullets, the slowest velocity is at 2896 with a starting load of 74.0 gr of H4831SC

I use 62.0 gr of H414 for 2751 fps with the 215 gr SGK in my 338-06 and like to performance it delivers, and my new to me 338 RCM will be shooting the same velocities in its 20" barrel once I get to shooting it after recovering from my recent accident (probably next year though).

Best of luck in finding a good load to initiate yourself to the 338 Win Mag! It is a great cartridge, and you should have happy results with it.
But I too recommend that you get a LimbSaver pad installed on it before moving up to heavier loads; your shoulder will appreciate it!
I did this on my first 338 WM and went from being sore and bruised after 20 rounds of Federal 210 gr Partition ammo off the bench, to no bruising or soreness after 60 rounds of the same ammo off the bench! (My RCM is going to be getting a LimbSaver pad installed before I start shooting it!)

Scott Spencer, I too am in Alabama and I too just purchased a 338 Winchester Magnum but mines a 1992 Browning Bar. I already had a Ziess Conquest 3x9x40 that I intend to put on top of it. I have reloaded since 1989 and I have loaded THOUSANDS of shotgun shells, pistol rounds, and dozens of different rifle cartridges from 223 up to 7mm magnum. What I have never reloaded is any 338 cartridges. I know this is an extremely old thread but by chance do you happen to have any advice on loads? I ordered 250 Nosler Partion 210 grain bullets and 100 Nosler AccuBond 225 grain bullets. I have N540, N560, RL 19 & 22, IMR4350, H4831SC, Varget, W760, H1000, SW4350, IMR4895, H380, and 6.5 StaBall. I have more powders as well that might work but those are what I have the most of. I have a LOT of IMR4350, H4831, and N560. Those are probably gonna be what I'm gonna be working with in that order.
