I am fairly new to reloading, but have reloaded a few rounds. I was wondering what would be a good load using the 168 grain Nosler CT bullet, with either Varget or reloader 15 powder. I am planing on using this load for deer, so any help is greatly appreciated.

In all reality, either one may work well for you. Varget is a good first bet, if you're trying to keep your powder costs low (and only buy one pound). There are numerous powders in the burn rate range of Varget and RL15 that will work well for your 168gr bullet. It may take some experimenting with several powders to find what really shoots best in your rifle. Good luck.

Try working up a load in half grain increments between 44-46 grains of varget and you should be in business. As mentioned, RL15 is another good powder/bullet combo as is IMR4064 and RL19.
