Hey everyone just been looking at all the new bullets coming out and I ran across the new Hornady .30 cal bullet here is the website http://www.hornady.com/store/30-Cal-.308-225-GR-BTHP-Match/

I have been reading around and people are saying that the BC should be anywhere from .711 to the mid .7XX but that is just the rumor.

Just thought I would share this with you, it would make a wicked looooong range bullet.

That is some serious BC. I bet it is one long bullet.

Now JD338 don't think they left your favorite caliber out they have made a new .338 cal bullet just like this one and it is 285 grain and the BC is .720

Cory,

Thanks buddy, I will have to check them out. I would think the 338 RUM could push then to 2800 fps. Dusting rocks at long range would be fun.

I'd have to seat it to the case bottom in the 300SAUM. :)

How do I get the powder to "move out of the way?"

Hornady brought out two winner here. The 285 grain 338 is slightly lighter than 300 SMK but has a higher B.C. That means it can be push faster than the SMK.

The 225, if the B.C hold true, will be an excellent bullet for this caliber. Finally 30 caliber shooter will have other choice besides Sierra and Berger. My Model 70 Laredo will be here soon. I will give this bullet a try. Hopefully, the 10 twist Pac-Nor polygon will be able to handle this bullet.

Dang, you guys are going to make me move up the .338 EDGE project on the list...

I am just very pleased they are coming out with some high BC bullets again for the calibers we mainly shoot.

Sorry Corbin for the typo.

Just seen they have a new 7mag bullet out does anyone know the BC
NOPE! I saw those and it has been killing me because they dont list the bc of them! They should be more than the A-max bullets though, at least I would think so.

Watch the video at hornady and it shows the BC
I just watched the video, I was hoping the BC of the bigger .30 cals would be higher, but they still aint bad.

Always nice to have options, even though I am not a target shooter.
