I'm sold! I've always thought the 6mm Improved would be cool. 244 Mashburn is too cool.

I was going to do a 6mm Improved on a 700 VLS right after they stopped offering the 6mm in it. Day late, dollar short...

He's right Kurt, you could do it for a lot less and the Model 70 short action has enough room for the 6mm so you can seat the bullets out where you want. It's a bit longer than the 700 short action and makes it nice on those slightly longer cartridges.
