Hmmmmmmm...........404 Jeffries

G'Day Fella's,

Muleman, here is A Brace of .404 Jeffery rifles!
The top rifle is mine and the bottom rifle, is a newly made W.J.Jeffery rifle that I recently imported for it's Australian owner.
It's an awesome cartridge and very underrated!!!

Enjoy
Homer

G'Day Fella's,

Thanks for the kind words!
Yes, there are some handy Best Grade Gun Makers around!
Here are some more images of the New W.J.Jeffery rifle to enjoy;

Ooops, it looks like I doubled up on one and missed the image (the underside of the W.J.Jeffery), that I wanted to post!
And also a close up on the stock wood of both rifles. The top rifle (mine), has an Australian grown, English Walnut stock and this rifle (both stock and metalwork), was made by Australia's best known "Best Grade" stock maker, Ross Waghorn!
I'm not sure about the wood type on the Jeffery rifle, I'll pick the owners brain on this, when he comes to pick it up!!!
Fingers crossed this time;
Homer

I had a pre 64 404 Jeffery built by PO Ackley.

Quite handsome workmanship, Homer. One must appreciate a craftsman, and a fine rifle reveals a grand opportunity to display the artist in a gun maker.

Homer, these are beautiful! They are works of art ! Nice pictures also. Great post.

G'Day Fella's,

Thanks for the kind words!

Elkman, I do take my .404 Jeff and other precious firearms afield but it has to be a very nice sunny day, and easy going open country!!!

Doh!

I'm speechless.
Ain't too often that happens. Those are gorgeous examples of art.

In the past, not recently, I have used one of mine for a boat paddle. That would not work wit fine art like those. I can put a scratch on a rifle before it gets in the truck.
They are beautiful however. Thanks for the pics.
