Most accurate loads and average velocity from a work ups with Superformance in a 280 Rem (24" barrel)
140gn Sierra Game King, 58gn of SF = 3168fps.
150gn Sierra Game King, 58gn of SF = 3113fps.
154gn Hornady Interlock, 57gn of SF = 3004fps.

RL-19 is very close to Superformance as far as achieved velocity from the same amount of powder.

That 140 at 3160 seems pretty awesome in a 280!

The most accurate of all the Superformance loads had 58gns of powder with a 150gn Sierra Game King. The 140gn bullets went high and left, even though they were at a blistering speed you won't find in reloading manuals. I don't have a good pic of the Superformance grouping.

RL19 is a great one. It is hard to break away from the known performers, especially when they shoot like that! Great shooting!
