I've been lucky enough to hunt hogs once in Texas. Had to pay for the opportunity but it was fun and I'll do it again when the opportunity presents itself.
I don't really want them here as we have enough problems with drought, wolves, and tree hugging, bunny loving, granola eating ferrets. That's hippies for most of you.

My brother and I were on a lease in Archer county Texas that had hogs on it.
I hunted there for about three years and killed one hog.
Sow that weighed about 150 lbs. Shot her w my 280 and a 140 NBT.

Yeah I hear stories about all the hogs around here.
Other than local Corp of Engineers property that allows hunting w a bow or shotgun, you're gonna have to pay for the hunt and the prices get stupid in a hurry.

Due to the fact that they are nocturnal a fella I know has started an operation called " Tactical Hog Control "
down near Centerville, Tx.
Jed guides hunts at night using night vision scopes and suppressed AR rifles.

MI DNR has a full court press on hogs here. There are a few pockets that have hogs and they want them gone.
There are none in my area which is a good thing.

Dunno if that link still works but it's an article on our hog situation here in Arizona. I'd heard of the pigs being in the Redington Pass area and while doing a deer hunt with my ex-son in law and his brother in laww, we'd seperated and I'd gone to the south and they went north. About the time it got dark we met back at the truck and they told me of the biggest javalinas they'd ever seen. They were huge. I told them they should have shot a few as they were feral hogs and fair game. Once that newspaper article came out, people started hunting them hard and they went totally nocturnal. Ruined it for everybody. There's supposed to be groups of pigs scattered from here to Wilcox AZ but most are apparently on private gound and no access. Water is the key around here. I've hooked up with a few people who say they have access but we just haven't found a time when our schedules don't conflict.

Yeah, last time I looked, it cost something like $2000 an hour to fly in a chopper? I hope thats not true, cause not many people can afford that. Do they have a bounty on hogs? Maybe they should use the hogs as live targets for training our military. That would be cool!
