Anyone here have any experience with the Hornady 120gr HP from a 25.06? If so are these bullets known to be accurate and what about their performance on deer? I was shooting the Speer 120gr Hot Cor and im out. I know they've changed over to the deep curl in the 120gr but it looks like they're not gonna be available anytime soon. Thank You! Mike

...don't know about the Honady's, but the 120gr. Sierra HPBT GameKings are very accurate & perform really good on antelope/ muldeer sized game...

While I have never shot anything with them, I understand the 120 Hornady HP was an effort to make a tougher bullet for the likes of the 25-06.

My concern with them is that the darned hollow point is SO small that I would question if it would open up all the time.

I used to load some for a friend and he seemed to like them, but I guess I never actually saw any game he shot.

In that weight range I have had good success on wild hogs, deer, antelope, etc. using my 25-06 and either Sierra 117 grain Pro Hunters or Nosler 115 grain Ballistic Tips.

Thanks for the feedback, i appreciate it. I load the Sierra 120gr pro hunters in my daughters .260 and they work well for her so i may give the 117/120 Sierra's a try. I really want to try the Speer deep curls but like i said it looks like production on those are running slow. Again Thanks!

They are tough and they work great for deer sized game. Hornady makes a good bullet.
