I've got three sets of these, and they're OK. They are for three different calibers. There is no marking I found on any of the seater dies indicating caliber/cartridge. I'm wondering how 'universal' the seaters are: will the 7 mmWSM seater work for .280 Remington, 7x57, etc. It looks like it should but I haven't tried it. If so, I wish they'd stamp a big ".284 - 7mm" on there somewhere. I found out by trying to seat 7mmWSM's in a .308 Win. die! No harm done except to my ego, and I realized I couldn't eyeball just one of them without the other to compare to and get it right. They have all since been labeled.

I do like the seating method and engineering, and will try the .280 in the 7mmWSM seater if my theory proves right. I haven't found the place on the Hornady web site to tell me what's right, and am not so concerned that I've felt the need to call. Just thought I'd see if anyone else has come across this already.

Just went to the Hornady web site and checked seater part numbers. They are identical for the seaters for .280, 7mm-08, .284, 7mmWSM, 7x57 and others. I still think they ought to stamp a big caliber - not cartridge - label on them to help us guys who can't find our readers....

I have a few sets of hornadies and like them. I think they are the best of the cheaper dies. You are correct that the seater dies are usually "universal" to caliber. Sometimes they do a wonderful job of seating and sometimes the bullet profile just doesn't seem to fit and they make a bit more runnout. I think of them as the "yugo" of forester seaters.
Re the sizer die...the eliptical expanders are wonderful and with a bit of fiddling you can get them centered and many of my dies make really straight, almost zero, runnout. On the negative side I find that hornady sizer dies often work the brass really hard....especially in the neck area.
