Hornady Suspend list!

Ok this explains the shortages of Hornaday products . Is the rest of the industry in the same boat?
Most of the .22 lr ammo I use in my pistols is imported so what's up with the .22lr shortage?

I believe they are just rationalizing products that they do not sell many of. They are probably a list of the bottom 3% of all sales to date for the last 2-3 years. With huge backorders and customers not being served, I think that they re just trying to serve the most customers within reasonable time. Doing it without building unrealistic expectations for shipping bullets that they will not be able to produce any time soon.

It is what it is. The near future is not gonna be a good time to own weird calibers/cartridges.
I think hornady got caught saying what all manufacturers are most likely doing....optimizing production.
Question though...if one manufacturer abandons a bullet/cartridge....doesn't that open the door for the next guy to pick up that market and perhaps make it worthwhile to produce.
Also...will hornady regret working with gun manufacturers to make weird calibers like the mx marlin casings etc. They made it...now they should support it?

Sorry to hear this, I shoot bergers primarily but I will.be the first to say that the amax gives up nothing to any other bullet out there. As far as volume goes i will stick my neck out and say there are as many amax's sold as there are bergers if not more.

The 6mm 105 Amax is a huge seller here locally in two different stores. That's my main bullet in the 243 AI. That's to bad about the 162 Amax. A great bullet for the 7mms.
