Well after tightening everything and scrubbing the bore with some J-B Bore paste I loaded up some bullets and went to the range. I shot 5 rounds to foul the barrel, then I did a three shot group . Here is a picture of the group I shot.

Success! The groups measured out to be .615 inches from center to center

A little more fine tuning and that group will shrink even more. Good shooting.
I will be tuning the seating depths a little more to see if I can shrink that group some more. Not too bad of groups for just a $280.00 dollar gun!

corbin9191,

Fine group you have pictured there. Glad you worked out the issue.

Now to start tuning the load a little more would I start seating the bullet in more or would I not seat it in as much? .005 inches at a time?

I would recommend working up a load in .5 grain increments 3 rounds each. Seat your bullet so your OAL is 2.800" (SAAMI length). Once you figure out what charge shoots the best, load up more with the same charge and then play with your seating depth. This works best for me in my experience. Sometimes I start .010 or .020 off the rifling, but I still seat the bullets all the same for load work up and then play with seating depth last if necessary. Hope this helps.
