How about a 1911 category?

Seems like just about everyone has a model 1911 handgun of some sort. Just about every gun maker has their own 1911 now, it would be nice to have a category just for these handguns.

I know its an old thread...

But I agree with the OP...1911's are on their own these days, very little in common with the "new" pistols.

The Kimber subforum may have been added since this thread got started...anyways, just thinking out loud.

There are plenty of other good 1911 makers out there (Baer, Brown, Wilson, Dan Wesson, Fusion, Springfield, Colt...to name a few)
