Hunting Deer is something I have NEVER done and have no idea about.

A question was presented to be about fallow deer which by my understanding are one of the smaller deer breeds (is this correct?).

My Question is:

If I were to go hunting for Fallow I would use my 303.. but no doubts I'd take my father with me would, a 22-250rem loaded with a strong projectile be ok with a carefully placed shot?

What projectiles would you use in the 22-250?

I have some 303 150gr HP taipans here which I think would suffice for the 303brit do you think they'd be ok?

Cheers Fella's!

Hi.,
We take fallow with a 223. In fact, our advice is to use the gun that you shoot best, and then place the bullet well. I think that placement is usually more important than caliber as a general rule.
