Hunting loads for 280 Rem

I am going to give the 150 PT's a shot in my son's 7mm Mauser. Speeds look real good too. Not quite a 280, but it should make a spike elk capable load if the bullet shoots decent.

Amen to that! Perfect bullet weight range for anything .280 or .280AI! 8)

I have to disagree with that Scotty. The 150 gr. Partition at those speeds would be lethal on any elk, no matter what their size. They are an incredibly tough animal as you know, but non of them are bullet proof. :wink: :) That 7x57 is a great round.

In the 280 Rem it was 140 gr BT and 140 gr PT.
