I was wondering what other reloaders are finding with this powder, it is quickly finding a spot, near the front of my powder cupboard. I see alot of powders on this and other sites that get recomended quite often, this is not one of them. This has become my go to powder for heavier bullets in the .243 working very well with the 90 to 105 gr pills. In the .270 win with 130 gr sgk it is very accurate, with very good velocitys, same could be said for lighter bullets in the 7mm rm. I haven't tryed it in the 30-06 yet, but with a burn rate between Imr 4350 and Imr 4831, it may be a prime canidate. Being from the extereme line from hodgdon it seems to be insensitve to temps, and runs same or slightly higher velocitys in the rifles I've used it in. Anyone else out there using this and if so what were your results?

H100V has a spot in several of my loads. It has given me excellent results with 140 grain A-Frames in my 270 WSM. It also performed very well with 140 grain and 150 grain PTs in my 280, with 160 grain PTs in my 7mm RM, and I have had great success with 200 grain TSX and 220 grain A-Frames in my 325 WSM. Yeah, it seems to be sufficient versatile to ensure that it has a place in my powder magazine.

H100V is not an extreme powder, it is listed under spherical powders and has no labeling on the cans as extreme.
I'm still waiting to see how temp sensitive it is.
I have tried it in my 270 WSM and with good results and high velocities but ended up using H4831sc because it is an extreme powder.
I just picked up a Winchester FW in 243 and plan on trying it.
Also going to try it out in some of my TC Contenders.

What bullets have you tried in the 243 with H100V and what type of velocities are you getting?
Are you close to what the book says?

I've only used it in my son's Ruger MKII 6mm Remington. I worked up a load with it and the 90 gr. Nosler E-tip. It shoots nice little tight groups and is fast.

H100V and 90 gr. E-tip chronographs at 3180 fps out of his 22" barrel. I have not tried it in anything else, but it sure works good for his 6mm. Should work in your .243 as well. Good luck.

I have loaded for 2 .243 rifles this year, and used nos pt 100 gr, and sierra gmk 100 gr, the first rifle was @ 44.2 grs /wlr primer. second rifle we settled on 43.5 grs as it opened up with higher loads. My notes are out in the shop but IICR we were right around the 2900 /2940 fps some where in there. I will have to check again but I thought I read that it was one of there extreme powders and brought out same time as varget.
