.....how to beat the powder shortage. I built a time machine and went back a few years.....
The sticker on the H570 is $1.50.

What was Hodgdon H570? I've never heard of that one, I'm guessing its long been discontinued. The can of BL-C was $2.50. Anyone know when those containers are from? I thought maybe late 60's or early 70's.

Possibly late 1940'sinto the 1950's I started reloading in 1954 and I don't remember those cans. Probably because I was using Hercules Bullseye, Unique and #2400 for my handgin and IMR 3031 for the most part for my 30-30. Didn't use any Hodgden's powders until H4895 for a 30-06.

I got this great reloading book too! Might be just a tad dated tho.....
...unless someone knows where I can get DuPont 151/2 powder?

I believe I still have one or two of those myself. I would guess late 50's and the 60's for sure. The next generation were metal with the screw on lids. I have lots of those.

 I have a can of that H4831.

They were most likely in the mid to late 1960's. I have used those cans before, plus the round paper powder container for H4831 as well which was early 1960's.

H-570 was slower than H4831 and I believe that it was used for 20mm cannon loads. It has not been available since Hodgdon sold out of all their canistered WWII powders in the 1970's.
