Two year old mule deer & pronghorn tenderloins from my last trip to Wyoming... Found in the freezer...
Thawed. Sliced into bite-size steaks. Cooked tonight, briefly, on the stovetop in olive oil. Side dish of mushrooms, Walla Walla sweet onions, sweet peppers, and baked potatoes.
Even Mama, not a huge fan of red meat, enjoyed! Both sons were home for dinner and are really, really sad that there are no more tenderloins or backstraps hiding in the freezer.
Time to stock up!
