Guy Miner and I knew the .25 would get you eventually. Now, a savage American classic in 250-3000 and a .25 based on the 270WSM and you are all set. Small, Mmedium, "makes the weatherby look normal". :) I think somebody called it "the pronghorn .25. You got a Nice rifle. You gonna keep this one? CL

Ooh, .250 Savage and .257 WSM. I want!
 
With the 257 STW you may not be able to to use a cup and core bullet like the 100 BT. I have a buddy that has one and the only 100 gr bullet that he could find that would not come apart from too many RPM's was the Barns. He bean field hunts for deer and with a 3" high zero at 100 yards he just holds in the center of a deers shoulder out to a little over 500 yards and smokes them. That thing is flat shooting.
