We had a 5 point bull come to the call tuesday morning. He was sounding off like it was September the 20th. I missed him at 40 yards. I can now look forward to hearing bugles in my sleep for the next month. Good luck to any who are chasing bugles like I am.

These things happen. Don't beat yourself up too badly. There is always the next time, which makes it hunting.

I'm so wishing I would of bought my bow tag this year instead of a rifle spike tag!

Hey jmad, you wouldn"t happen to be hunting the Mt. Emily area would you? Just curious. I've got the fever real bad right now. Everything sounds like a bugle to me. Heavy equipment, squeaking doors, car horns. I don't think there's a pill for it. I told my wife that the only cure is to get back out in the woods and try again.

Thats why its called hunting. If we all didn't miss it wouldn't be a challange. :)

Happens every season to thousands of hunters.

When I do bow hunt I do it all over in three or four different units. I get tired of one place all the time and fighting crowds. The last year I bow hunted I bugled in seven guys...befor noon! I will be hunting west Mt. Emily for bucks this year with a rifle, and this weekend for bears but I'm not bow hunting this year.

Don't you worry, I'm not even in the woods and I'm hearing it as well!
