Nah! I thought about it but I have 2 #1's

1V in 204 ruger
1h in 458 lott.

That is enough

Problem is

270 or 25-06.

That is the ??????????????????????????????????????

You know the cartridges.

The .25-06 has served me well as a light-kicking mule deer / coyote rifle.

The .270 just might be a better deer rifle, and I'll bet the coyotes fall just as fast.

Looking forward to this latest rifle...

Fotis,

I know you have had several 25-06 but I don't recall you ever talking about the 270 Win.
Go with the 270 Win, something different.

I can't believe you'd even consider a .270!

True had dozens of 25-06's and only a few 270's

Based on the fact that I do have a 243 that shoots 90 gr AB's at 3200 fps and shoots them in the .3's I am thinking 270. I think it fits better in my battery.
But based on the fact that I am mentally unbalanced with gun acquisitions who knows?

243 Savage predator Max-1
7mm RUM Sako
308 win Sako finnwolf
30-06 Tikka
300 rum Sako
30-378 Sako
32 win spcl pre 64 win
378 bee Lazermark
458 lott #1
45-70 Marlin

Not that I need a 270.....

Good point...

A 6.5 would split the .243 (6mm) and 7RUM more equally. I'm just saying.

Maybe a .264? If not I'd vote for the .270.

Do not tell Scottie that I might be turning down a chance to buy a 25-06!

Fotis, there is nothing wrong with the 270win  Sir Jack used one for most of his hunting life and was very sucessful ,
But you know the saying so many calibers and so little time :)

Blessings,
Dan

Ha, turning down your chance to buy what 25-06? With the amount of rifles you have right now, a light recoiler like a 25-06 or 6.5 would be pretty fun to shoot. A little relief from the big blasters you have on tap right now. How about a 264 Win Mag.. I don't think they are ever a bad choice.
