For those of you who like to hunt 100 birds a day, Iceland is closer than Argentina. We hunted in Iceland years ago and had a great time. The only difference is your shooting sea birds from boat instead of doves on the ground. It is a little different type of hunt for you adventurous types who like to try something different and not that far from the members on the East side of Canada and the States. At the time we went it was the only country in the world where you can hunt Puffins, dont know if that is still true or not. You can also hunt reindeers in Iceland, but you have to get a permit from Santa and do not tell any small children in the family that you did so

Earle, Cheyenne, our New York members, have you ventured that far north ?

I've been farther north than Iceland, in Norway.

But I wasn't hunting. Military training with the Norwegians. It was terrific!

Regards, Guy

Ive driven out onto the ice out of barrow several times. You can't get much farther north than that. I wouldn't care to spend that much time up there!

My house is the same latitude as Reykjavík! 64.1 N.....

LOL Good point Hodgeman about "living" that far North. Obviously Cheyenne would live and work further north than Iceland, I might also be wrong about it being closer, possibly those living in Florida would be closer to Argentina. O.k. but forgetting those errors ( LOL ) it was a different place and a different type of hunting for us anyway and a LOT of birds daily and different birds and I have always enjoyed bird hunting, or did anyway. We did eat the cute little Puffin.

hunting birds with a shotgun from a boat in the ocean would be an interesting challenge for sure. Obviously no bird dogs required. But a new place, a different challenge, is always fun, especially if it involves hunting
