Idaho Draw Results!!

This is a good year for our small group of 7.
2 Waha Bull Tags
2 Early Cow Tags
2 Late Cow Tags
and a few Xtra Doe tags in the mix.

Only bummer is the Waha Bull starts Oct 10th instead of the 1st like the last couple of years. We'll still find them!!

Already planning on using the Sako 75 in the 270 WSM. This is always my goto gun when it counts. I took a 6pt Bull three years ago with this gun on the same tag.

I didn't draw squat. I put in for pretty hard to draw stuff but it would have been nice to draw something.

Just found out that a hunting buddy drew the Waha Mule Deer Buck tag. He has been trying for that tag since it started decades ago..Boy am I glad he got that!!

The season is the same as my Bull tag and same unit. We will be in there together but hunting different spots. Another friend (his cousin) will buddy up with him so he won't be alone. We will just be within 1 - 10 miles of each other.

I'm checking three different loads out of this gun sat morn.
RL17 and 140 AB @ 3150
RL17 and 150 PT @ ????

I'll chrono and shoot for groups and let that decide which. I used the 140 AB on the last elk hunt I was on and it worked just as designed. Bang/Flop... I wish all elk were like that but it usually isn't.
