Idaho Elk Tags

You aren't kidding. Finalized some zeros yesterday on the 7WSM. 338 seems good to go as well. Should be ready. Now to start packing.

The way you guys hunt you're only going to have to pack a day pack and a couple coolers right????

Maybe some spider monkey air freshener.......

Scotty,

are the tags OTC rifle elk tags?

Thanks, and best of luck,

Jim

Jim, they sure are.

Mike, that is on Brian. It smells like Goodness to me!

Scotty my good man I sure wish you guys the best success on your trip. I got my wolf tag in hand already as well and hope to get out to do some archery hunting here before the season ends. My buddy Don drew a Mountain Goat tag this ear for the Cabinet Wilderness. He went up to do a little scouting and saw five goats and shot a nice 5' black bear with his 300 WSM. I think he's waiting a bit if he can to let them put on some more hair before he pulls the trigger on one though. Hopefully I can make it up to be number one guide, and pack mule!

Scotty, good luck on the elk hunt! That Alaskan Model 70, .338 WM should be a lucky gun for you, certainly. So far, so good, with everything related to that rifle. I personally hope that that Model 70 becomes a proven elk rifle for you now. Those Alaskan 70's were born for that!

I hope so too Charlie. The rifle is shooting pretty consistent with 200 AB's. Not exactly perfect, but very consistent at around an inch. I am pretty sure I can hammer elk with it!
