Finally put the finishing touches on a load for the .243 Browning A-Bolt. Have it topped with a VXIII 4.5-12X40mm currently, but will be putting the VXII 2-7X33mm back on prior to season.

First load:
100 Grain Nosler Partition
42.0 Grains of RL 22
2.570" OAL
CCI Large Rifle Primers
(0.75" 4 shot group)

Second load is with factory Hornady Customs 100 grain BTSP. Have tried the Winchester PowerMax, Federal Fusion, Remington CoreLokt, and the Federal Power Shok. Power Shoks shoot a bit under an inch, but the Hornady's are right at 0.61".

Should be good to go with either load now. Watch out blacktails!

Looks great. I'm running 100gr PTs with 44grs of RL19. Great combo. Scotty

I should imagine that either load will work well for blacktails.

Nice shooting TBASTIAN, I had very similar results with the Hornady Factory loads as well in my Marlin XL7. Your Partition load should perform admirably on those blacktails. Happy Hunting to you!

I'm a big fan for the light kicking rifles & loads for deer hunting. Looks like you've got a good setup.

Looks good. No deer can survive that, if you do your part.

Nice 4 shot group with those partitions. I think you might have had all five in there had ya used the fouler hole as a target. Good luck on the hunt
