Tried my hand at converting LC 7.62 NATO brass into 7mm-08..I'm aware 7-08 brass is plentiful, I just wanted to experiment...I started with already fired LC-14 headstamp brass and sized it with 308 win dies, then I annealed them before running through a 7mm-08 FL die and the length came out a .003 short of minimum. Then I loaded them with a starting load of H414 and some 130 grain Speer's and shot them through her rifle and that got the length back to SAAMI. Finally FL sized, trimmed and loaded with RL-17 and 140 Partitions. Satterlee 10 shot method found a node bewteen 46.2, 46.5 and 46.8 right at 2900 +/- 14 fps. 46.8 is also max in her rifle, all 3 shot well, but 46.8 was the best. Not too bad considering it was breezy, cold and I was pretty chilly without my gloves...
