Has any one ever used his collet re-sizing die? Reason I'm asking is that for what ever reason my 8mm mag brass after a couple of full length re-sizing's (2-3 firings) there is a very very very slight raised ring that is out in front of the belt like the die does not come down far enough in the resizing process and it causes reluctant chambering and extraction.

I have loaded for lots of belted magnums and never had this issue until now. For what it's worth the dies are RCBS which have always done right by me.

Bill, 338winmag uses one. Loves it. I use the digital headspace gauge. Love that too.

Thanks Scotty I'll give him a shout. I have never come across this issue with any other belted case until now.

Me neither Bill, but Steve (338WinMag) had it pretty bad with his 338 in his Vanguard, the die cleaned it right up.. I would buy it in a heartbeat, if I needed it, but I have been luck so far. Steve is a stand up guy, so he should give you straight scoop on them.

I use em on a buddies custom wby...actually 2 of them have the problem...it works perfectly. Not for prairie dog hunters thats for sure but works perfectly for those hunting rounds.

I was wondering who Larry Willis was and why he died, just figured it out

That's funny, Gerry; I made the same mistake, though I knew who Larry Willis is.

Bill,

I have read about it but never had the need for one. Maybe I have just been lucky.
