Has anyone ever seen the LimbSaver "thing" you put on your barrel to improve groups? I love the stuff they make for archery but have never seen the barrel device in action.

I've used it and either didn't take the time to try to get it to work properly or it simply didn't work for me. I have heard many people say that it helped them with their rifle but I can't say that it did with mine.

Again, I didn't try to move it over every square inch of barrel to find the correct spot so it may just be me that is having issues.

I have no doubt that this device can work. However, it is unsightly (in my opinion) and looks bulky for moving through brush. It would be necessary to find the precise spot for proper resonance, and woe betide the individual that moved it.

I have never used one, I think they look hideous.

I'm firmly entrenched in the "they look awful" camp. I'll also add that if you handload, you're not going to find it to do anything you can't already do with powder charge and seating depth adjustments. It's all about harmonics, and if you want to dampen them with sorbothane, you can remove harmonic inconsistencies that way. Or you can dial in the load and remove them via handloading techniques. I wouldn't spend the money on one, but if you think it will help, go for it.

I'm with most everybody here. I've tried one on my 338 WM, and had the same thoughts as Mr. Spencer as to the results.
