I've always had luck with IMR4350 in the 30-06 with a 180gr bullet. Our reloading Guide #5 has min 51.0 gr and 55.0 gr as max. As always start low and work your way up carefully. As far as gas guns here's a website that has some good info. What is your gas auto rifle you want to load 180 AccuBonds with?
I'll second Nosler2's recommendation of IMR4350. I've tried a number of powders listed in the #5 manual for 180 gr. bullets and 55.0 grs. 4350 and a 180 gr. AccuBond gives me the best and most consistent sub MOA accuracy in my '06.
My best load for the 180 AccuBond in my 30/06 is 59.5gr Ramshot Hunter. 2792fps and sub MOA. Ramshot is fast becoming my favorite brand of powder in all of my rifles.
My five shot group averaged 2635 fps. I fired these rounds in a shooting tunnel equipped with a state-of-the-art computer/chrony system. My '06 has a 22" barrel.
Ramshot Hunter is a ball powder that meters great and burns clean. I like it in my 300WSM and 30-06. Hunter has outperformed 760 in both of these rifles in accuracy and velocity. I have tested it in a wide range of temps. and have found it to be fairly consistant. This weekend I am going to do a bunch of testing with Hunter and the 280. The 280 is getting top notch velocities and accuracy with 7828. Don't know if Hunter can match or beat 7828 but i'll see what happens.
