Load recommendations for my .44 mag.

I shoot the Nosler 240 gr JHP with 23.0 grs H110 in both my S&W 629 Classic and Marlin 1894.
This load is very accurate and deadly on WT deer from both the revolver and rifle.

Thanks again all, great advise and insight. I have started with the Nosler 240 gr. JHP for load developement. Once I get it dialed there I plan to try some cast and xtp 's.
 
The 240 gr JHP will leak a lot of blood on a shot through the lungs.

I have hunted bear and deer with my 7.5" redhawk.
I used 300grn Hornady XTPs with a maximum load of H4227.
The performance of the load was like the hand of God would just knock the deer and bear down and the animals would be DRT.
I would have no issue hunting for elk at a reasonable range with a handgun.
I did cheat and used a red dot sighted in at 75 yards though.

I read through the thread again, and if anyone mentioned this, I just didn't spot it: H110 and W296 are exactly the same powder...same manufacturer, same formulation, identical---just put into different containers with different labels.

I always thought it was interesting that Winchester adamantly nixes reduced loads with 296, while Hodgdon specified a range of safe loads. I guess it's easy to conclude which outfit is more influenced by lawyers.

I shoulda known, but I'm blind in one eye and can't see out the other and only partially literate in the first place. So, once again...BUSTED.

A 300gr bullet and H110 has been my go to heavy load for my Redhawk for a long time. Just bought a S&W 329PD looking at a 265gr bullet and H110 as a heavy load in this handgun.
