Hi Guys, I just wanted to let you know that I did load up some 130 gr accubonds for my 270, I am shooting the Remington CDL and I had the factory Remington clip system installed. This bullet is really something the buck I shot is over 200 lbs dressed and it was looking at me on a angle so I hit him behind the right front shoulder and the bullet came out infront of the left ham. The shot was only at around 200 yards so not a real test of distance but the bulllet definitely did its job. I am going to load up the rest for our late Elk season and I really think it will do the rest.
The load I am using is the same one as I did for the Partition and also the the speers 130 btsp. I never had a chance to take it to the range but I shot the speers and got a 1/2" @100yards. I did shoot a fist size rock at just over 100 yards and it rolled it over.
I will be heading out to the range as soon as I get a chance but for you southern boys I just want to let you know that with the wind chill it is -35 celius here today and that is cold even for us Saskatchewan hunters.
The load I used is Win brass, CCI large rifle primers 130gr Accubonds and 53.5grs of IMR 4350
