Loads for30-06 BAR

I have a BAR in 30-06 for which I would like to develop hunting loads using 150/165 Ballistic Tips. I've read that I should use powders with medium burning rates in order to keep from damaging the action.

I would appreciate any suggestions.

I have read up on this and I know that Browning des not have a problem with this like, say a Garand. You miht want to call them for verification. Either way nothing to worry about because 4064 is indeed safe for all auto's and will work great with 150-165 gr.

IMR 4350 @ 56 (Favorite)
180 Sierra Gameking or Nosler AB or Part.
Fed 210 Match
FC Nickle Cases

IMR 4350 @ 57.5
165 Nosler AB or Sierra Gameking BTHP

I do use RCBS Small Base Sizer Die and a Hornady Seater Die
I crimp using a Lee Factory Crimp Die

That is true, but you have too pull maintence on it and clean the gas tube/port......any solvent that you put in the bore goes into the gas system, PM if you need a lesson on gas cleaning on the BAR.
