Looking for a qualified gunsmith

I am looking for a new qualified gunsmith that can build competition / hunting rifles. Who would you recommend out here in Texas or anywhere else that I can depend on that does a "thorough" job on the builds. I don't want someone who slaps things together and not giving the rifles a good going over and spends quality time to do it right and professionally, hopefully you guys have some references for me. Thanks

S&S Precision is hard to beat for Texas, Truman Wilson in Colorado is also top notch. I've got rifles from both.

Gene Williams in Princeton has a good reputation for long range builds. He has worked on some of mine but, I've no first hand experience with competition rifles. If you wish his number PM me.

I had a lightweight 300 win mag built by Rifles Inc I'm happy with. It was expensive but shoots and handles great. He builds heavier ones also. My others are all by Flint Hills Gun Works in Kansas and he built some darn nice shooting rifles also.

Isn't Charlie Sisk in Texas? He has a very good reputation, but I believe he leans more towards hunting rifles

True Bore Alignment lathe adapter from Straight Shot Gunsmith, worth your time to do some research. This adapter keeps even stress on all the jaws on the part without stress on the action or barrel.
