M70 Featherweight 300WSM

I like the FWT M70, what's it like to shoot the WSM in that rifle? I'd like to get one someday, but I've been wanting a .270 Win.

Looks right sharp, Scotty, just like a Featherweight should.

Couldn't tell you just yet. I can't help but think it will be too much different than my 7WSM though. Hoping I have some time to shoot it shortly. It hurts just letting it sit there!

Thanks Mike. It is a nice handling rifle too. Scotty

The FWTs have always been my all-time favorite. And a .300wsm will cover alot of game choices.

Good one, Scotty.

Scotty, fine looking rifle, im more conservative, for this type
of rifle will go with aluminum talley mounts-low- and a vx2 2x7 or
a varix3 2.5x8.
The rifle for sure is a performer.
maybe some 165gr accubonds or barnes tsx tipped for the deer and like,
for big stuff 180 partitions or barnes tsx180.

You guys and your winchesters. Your going to make me buy one or two. Such a pretty gun minus the foreend of the stock. I guess that will be my next project or a ruger? They are about the same.

Scotty has the same problem with scope mounts that I do... we're both big 'ol tall bubbas who need a scope mounted further forward than less physically gifted people do. And most mounts accommodate.

Nice looking stick of wood there, buddy! That'll give you something to ogle when the hunting's a little slow!

Couple of questions:
1. Is that just fingerprints on the underside of the barrel?
2. What the heck is that green thing in the yard pics, looks like a spike through a plastic disc?

I believe Scotty is trying to keep the termites away from that nice piece of wood.

Very nice, Scotty. That is a fine looking rifle with some good looking walnut.

That thing sure is pretty Scotty! Now get out there and just shoot it would you! I want to see how that R19 works in it before I go "to the dark side" and get some for myself to try.

Terrific looking rifle Scotty!

The only problem with owning a rifle like that - is that you really don't need anything else...

Bite your tongue, Guy!

At the very least, he needs a wet weather gun, and an open ground gun, and a gun for does in timber, and a gun for does in the open, and a wet weather gun for does in the open, and...

Good to see a fellow with his head screwed on straight! Keep up the good work, Kurt.

HA! I do think I am covered with most of those conditions though. That is the bad part! Scotty

scotty, excellent ring selection for your rifle. I have Warne bases and rings on my .338RUM and couldn't be more pleased. They are nothing but solid.
