That's one HECK of a whitetail! Congrats! I've heard a lot of good things about the bucks in Indiana. Supposed to be a good state for producing some eye-popping racks. This thread has proof of that hypothesis!

That is a world class buck for sure. Congratulations to your nephew.
Where about in N. Indiana? I know the southern counties of MI along the Indiana also produce some monster bucks as well. Lots of private property with good food, genetics and mild winters spell big buck country.

Is a good one.

He hasnt replied yet to his brand of broadhead, I knew but forgot.

We're two counties down from the Michigan line. Same County Waddell hunts when he comes to Indiana on Realtree Roadtrips.

A HUGE part of the county is tied up in leases anymore and what isnt is over run with hunters.
A couple newer places I have permission to hunt on are "nothing more than" picked cornfields with maybe a single sparsely brushed creekbed or a thin fence row BUT deer do run them and no one hunts there.........no trees.

Very nice Buck!! I just love symetrical 10 pointers. What broadhead was he using?

This one. A copy and paste from the mfg website.

"Bloodrunner® II
Field point accurate, fixed blade strong - that's BLOODRUNNER. The ultimate in combination fixed blade & mechanical technologies. Low profile in flight, massive cuts on impact. 2-1/16" open diameter 2-blade is super-strong, has the sharpest blades in the industry and deliver absolute dependability. Open. Closed. They cut no matter what. Guaranteed!

It Cuts No Matter What

The hybrid mechanical design of the BloodRunner provides a low 1 1/8” profile in flight for field point accuracy, and expands to a full 2 1/16" cutting diameter on impact that stays open all the way through your target."

No wonder there was such a hole. First I'd heard of them.

"green scored" 153 1/8 for those curious.

Nephew's hunting buddy's bow kill from last night. I've SEEN exactly 2 drop time bucks in my life, on the hoof anyway. Taking one with a bow? ahhhhhhhhhhh.....man!

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang! I KNOW I wont post my buck photos now!

And another superb deer! Indiana may be the place to go for archery deer.
