med/big bore - ridiculous?

Is it silly to use something like a .375 H&H for elk & black bear?

Not at all, I love the old .375 H&H and don't need any excuse to own one.
I have a stainless Browning A bolt with the Boss system.It is light as a feather and will knock your block off.I put a Mercury supressor in the stock. It brought the weight of the rifle up to about 9 1/2 lbs. It is now as comfortable to shoot as a .30/06.Very accurate too.I think it would be the prefect elk rifle in the timber.It makes a fine rifle for Whitetails too. :wink:
I never was big on tracking wounded game. :lol:

Hey Pop, Looks like the same shot as the Zebra except opposite end exit. Did the PH push you to take the shot, how many twigs did the bullet hit on the way... :lol:
