As you fellas know, I am holding out for 1 of 2 bucks. A really nice 10 pt and a big 11 pt. All the others I let walk.
Well this morning, my little buddy, a 7 pt, strolled by at 8:10 AM. Then the 11 tom turkeys came in. They got agitated and I looked towards what they were looking at.

He came in zig zagging and stopped broad side at 36 yards. I put the dot right on his shoulder and let the arrow go. The lighted nock lit red and the tracer was on its way. The shot was perfect, starting to drop right into the clock works.....................the arrow hit a branch and deflected to the right!
The light colored coyote took off and stopped. I kissed at him and he turned back but then left.
It came back about 10 minutes later but not close enough for a shot.

I bet you were thinking it was one of those big bucks.

Yep! I was thinking "Buck Fever." Those branches grow up mighty quick when we are focused on game.

That WOULD be a wonderful trophy with archery gear. Shooting one of those Accublades I assume?

I've been hearing coyotes like crazy in the area I am hunting this year. Hopefully the land owner will let me give em a try after deer season. To get a shot at one with your bow sounds very cool. I will be using the new 223.

Those branches usualy only jump up and kiss the arrow when the Big one is there. Sounds like you're on a mission for the bruiser bucks. Good Luck Jim.

Here is the picture of the arrow in the ground, to the right of the oak and the nick in the branch on the left side.
