well.... I know I've been slacking on the scouting reports.... truth is, I aint been seeing much!
The weather is cooling off here, and the bulls are starting to show them selves a little.
There are rumors flying around about monster bulls here and there, a guy can get real dizzy trying to follow up on all these leads!!!!
anywho, here's a few pics. Nothing quite tag worthy yet, but getting better!

How are your temps, Chet? Those all look respectable. No, they're not trophy, but are they representative of what is normally taken from that area? Still, you've been out with the moose and you have got some good photos.

mike, the first one is a dink. And would maybe find himself in danger in the last hour of the hunt.
The other two, they might go down after the first five days if nothing else is found.

sunday morning, I woke up at 9000ft and a balmy 39 degrees f
monday morning, I woke up at 7200ft and a blistering 51 degrees f

and it only gets better!

Nice pictures, good luck on your hunt hopefully you find a big bull. Since I am primarily a meat hunter the first legal bull I saw would be in trouble, moose meat tastes good :)

Gerry,

I've reached that stage of life that I preferentially look for a two-year-old. I simply like the meat.

Chet,

Nice pictures, thanks for sharing them with us.
Best of luck to you this season.

well if it's a rack your after the last two are way better. this just doesnt sound right, but hey the Dink will taste better. LOL. I think the last time I uesed that line I was at a grad party!!!@ The young one will not be fighting and will hands down be better meat, but hey I'm a rack guy so hold out. lol

now how can you possibly be a "rack guy" and yet still say that "dink tastes better"??????

HAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHA

Great photos, it looks like you are in the right area. Look forward to seeing a nice bull down.

Blessings,
Dan

MMMM moosemeat. Sorry I'm an unapologetic freezer filler. Saw one this summer up in the BWCA canadian border that would have impressed the trophy crowd though. Sat and watched me casting spoons for pike for about an hour. Camera batteries dead though.

Good luck on your scouting and hunt. KA-OOOOCH
