Mossberg 4*4 rifle stocks

Hope this isn't a hi-jack but I was wondering the same thing about a T/C Venture.

Thats a great one Ken. I just got one in a 22-250 and wondered if there is any for the Venture yet? Scotty

I've only seen one up close...my buddy's son's gun. The sling pulled right out of the molded sling plastic "stud". POS

The same thing happened to my mossberg 100 atr in the 270 win. I had to drill another hole and put a wood stud in the front so it would actually stay in.

We can add the Remington 710 series to that POS list. My friend bought one in 243 WCF from Wal-Mart for a smoking deal a few winters back and he's had nothing but trouble with it. Even full length resized cases that had been once fired in his rifle often have trouble chambering, the action feels rough, and the plastic stock with integral trigger guard look like dog squeeze.

I told him to sell it and get a better one but he has yet to do so. Have not handled a Mossberg 4x4 or T/C Venture yet but they sure don't have the classic look that I am drawn to.

I have a Mosberg ATR 100 in .270Win. I originally gave it to my son, then traded him up to a Winchester. The ATR cost under $200.0, shoots 1" groups, and I've mounted it with a cheap scope I've been shooting since I was a teenager. Now it's my "brother-in-law"....or loaner gun. It's very functional, and I don't care if some puts a ding in the cheap plastic stock.
