Took three photos to get them all in. No big bulls but some good spikes and Raghorns. I think I live in pretty good elk country.

Yeah, I'd say you live in some fine elk territory. That is a good herd of elk, holding promise for the future. (y)

We’ve two using the valley near us. There are a couple more across the valley that show up at this time as well. This herd is typically 3 or 4 miles south of the house between the small towns of Cove and Union. The other herd is typically a mile from the house to the west between Cove and LaGrande. There is not much snow as of yet, sounds like it’s coming soon however. This herd could double in size by Christmas.
 
Dang! That is definitely some good elk country. Nice photos, thanks for sharing.
