Mule Deer 1 down

Was able to get out this last weekend here in Idaho and harvest this nice 3x4 muley. This is buck one as I always buy my Idaho tag and then buy a Non Resident tag so you can harvest 2 deer in a year. I will be back up this weekend looking for a big guy to put tag 2 on.

Was a great hunt with a tough pack out. He was shot 2.25 miles from the road - all of which was packed out on my back.

280 ackley with 140 AccuBond put him down for the count at 306 yards.

A lovely deer, to be sure. Congratulations. Saw a beautiful muley buck standing in the ditch watching as we passed last evening. Mule deer doesn't open until Nov 1 in this zone. He was safe, plus it was past shooting light.
