Enjoyed the video - but it's been known that mule deer migrate, for a very long time.
I'm not sure what's so "new" about the info. It is a cool little video though, with some great shots.

I believe it was new in that the biologist in WY had never documented the extent of migration in his state or the distance of the migration.

Being the pessimist, I can't help but wonder about a couple of things...
1- We know the enviros are pushing the Y2Y (Yukon to Yellowstone) project, which will, with the force of law, create a migration corridor for wild animals from Alaska to Montana/Wyoming. Seeing this video makes me think that there's a reason for more migration research beyond the obvious.
2- I suspect ungulate migration patterns will change - have changed - because of the wolves.
