This is my 2007 Mt. Dutton, Utah late November hunt bull. I loaded up some 120 grain Nosler Partitions with my dad. I pushed a max load of IMR7828 at 3403 fps out of my .257 Weatherby Magnum. I practiced shooting to 600 yards before the hunt. Well practice paid off. Jay Simon of High Top Outfitters and my little brother Lance Scott found and filmed this bull from 2 miles away the second morning of my hunt. They bedded him. We sized him up on the video and decided he was a keeper. We snuck down into the area that afternoon at 2pm. I set up and waited. Snow came in but at 5 pm he got up to feed. The snow gave my rangefinder a little trouble but after several tries I got a reading at 563 yards. I raised a foot over his back and made the first shot count. I hit his heart. He took a couple of steps up, then tipped over. My brother and friend Bridger caught the shot on video from 2 different cameras. My dad, friend Ryan Proctor and Jay Simon watched as I took the great bull. He broke his 4ths and was 370 on the ground. We saw him in the preseason and I had him repaired to his original dimensions at 390. It was a great hunt and thanks to everybody who helped me. It is the bull of a Lifetime!!! AND THANK YOU NOSLER!!!
