Well I waited 6 months for a new Krieger for my 378 Bee. It finally showed up last week.
I was not overly happy with the performance of the rifle so I decided to deck her out. Fully blueprinted action.
26" Krieger chamber in 378 WBY exact copy of Japanese (thinner than USA) contour.
Williams brake steel bedded and pillar bedded and all the bells and whistles.
Gunsmith said a week or two at the most. Should look exactly as below (before she went to surgery...)

I had Daniel at cutting edge make me some Hunting match grade bullets 375/300 gr. The BC is .750 or so. Got them and the accubonds standing by.

Wish me luck!

I hope so Doc.

Got an LR 4.5x14x40mm Leupy with CDS (MOA turrets) standing by from their custom shop also for the last 4 months. we will see!

It just needs a little work on some coyotes this winter to break it in with! I wonder if there is enough oomph with that thing for coyotes? You will not be able to stand it for a few days let along a couple weeks and you know it!
David

Some of those Wyoming coyotes are pretty tough. I'd suggest the 300 gr Nosler Partition, just to make certain...

Pop - that's a good looking rifle, and I hope it shoots as good as it looks!

Regards, Guy

Fotis,

Looking forward to the range results once you get her home. Your gunsmith is a good one.

Mighty pretty and mighty deadly. I'll be interested in the velocity and accuracy reports.
Greg

That is a good looking weapon. I look forward to hearing how it performs.
I think I all ready know the answer to that:)

Blessings,
Dan

Man Fotis, I can't wait to see how this rifle perform. Looks like a long range hammer to me with those bullet.

I have worked loads with the 300 grain sierra.

115.5 grain of RL25 with the sierra did 3060 fps. The sierra is "limited" to .460 or so BC.
That load shot like a super LR tank. Now imagine the 300 CW at 3100 fps at .750 BC!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW these things do some damage at ultra long range on game! They expand well way out there like the GS customs. See here.

If they shoot half as well as he made yours shoot I will be elated.

Fotis,

Is that going to be your new "truck gun"? I have a buddy that had the same stock....but different caliber. It was amazing just to look at. Nice!

Guys.
When I was a teen I cam across my first G&A magazine, It was in 1977 andI recall that they had the Win model 94 XTR .375 Win as a gun test.
I got hooked big time. After a couple of years of living in the People's Republic of NYC and becoming an "expert" in guns at a "theoretical teenage level" I knew I can do every kind of hunting in the world with 2 super flat shooting calibers.

The 257 bee and the 378 bee was my answer then.....provided they were tack drivers!

The 270 bee and the 416 bee became an option when the 416 was intro'ed later.

So you can see that this is going to be my dream gun. This 378 Bee was the only naughty 378 bee that needed to be "fixed"!! Everything else was right on!!!!

So after this is fixed then I am good. Currently I have the following tack drivers.

257--ultralight
270--ss synthetic
30-378--accumark
378--Lazermark------------------------surgery-----------------------
416--Classicmark
460--Custom shop

That is one mighty fine looking piece you have there! To bad non of the critters will get close enough to see the fine wood stock on it.

WWWAAAAY NICE!!

Very nice Fotis, that is a great bunch of Weatherby's you have. That 378 is a beast. Scotty

Barrel got screwed on finally. Currently they are testing it!

Maybe 2 more weeks?

Didn't George Strait do a song about this... something about "Famous Last Words of a Fool" or something like that? Come on, man, I can just feel you getting ready to go on a Ruger Number 1 bender (again)! :)

Nice rig, Fotis. One of these days I'm going to start my mini-collection of Weatherbys, .240, .257, 7mm, .300, .340, and .375. I want nothing to do with anything on the .378 case! I'm too big of wuss!

I meant I am good with the Bees!

Not the others.

Still gotta play with the Ruger #1 338 Win and rem 673 350 Mag.......
