Started out with the 416 Classicmark II, got the Ultralight in 270 Bee. Last week I walk into a pawn shop and this temptress called my name. Bam love at first site

A 1979 340 Bee deluxe MK V 3x9 Supreme scope Buehler rings bases and all! Came with the original target shot in 1979!!!!

Oh and buy the way! I got an accumark in 30-378 and a fibermark in 257 coming next week.

So I am officially sick!

Nice looking .340 Bee, Fotis, with original Weatherby scope and Buehler rings. That is a beauty and all original! Hope it shoots as good as it looks!

Going by the factory target then yes she is a shooter!

Very nice find buddy.
The 250 gr AB @ 2900 fps is some serious horse power.

Those bees just seek you out, Fotis. Man, it could be dangerous hanging around you; a guy could go broke!

Looks like you have been stung by Bee fever Fotis.
I have one but not that pretty.
You really need one that looks like this one.

Look at this 378!

Exhibition Grade Weatherby Mark V Euromark .378

The open sights put me off a bit but the wood more than makes up for it

Fotis, very nice

We had a friend who collected Weatherby's and when he passed had a 224, 240, 257, 270, 30-06,300, 340, 375, 416, and 460. Since he tried to find one from the first years they were each introduced by Weatherby, he was still in search of the perfect 7 MM and 378. He had not thought about the 30-378 or 338-378, as he had not completed his original quest.

He would tell anyone who would listen that he could hunt the world with only two rifles, the 257 and 340. I did not disagree with him, although I would also add the 416 for the very meanest and largest. His wife is holding onto the collection until their grandson gets out the marine corp and will then give it to him.

That sounds like a wonderful heritage for the young Marine. A great collection.

Oh man...such thread can make me glued to the screen..

Nice pick-up Fotis

The .340 Weatherby could reach the +3000 ft/sec with a 250grain pill with careful loading.

Fotis that's quite a hive of Bees you have there! Looks like you might have been stung one to many times sir. So what's the queen Bee think of all this? :p Very nice looking rifles.

I have only owned one Mark V Weatherby, a .340 WM, which I liked a great deal. My issue now with the Deluxe Bee is price, being retired and all.

It is a close race 378 or 416......

The 378 has to prove itself at the range like the 416 did ....
