National Hunting and Fishing Day

September 24th is National Hunting and Fishing Day. The North Central Washington Gun Club and the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, together with a LOT of volunteers, worked together to celebrate that with a youth day at the club.



We had archery, trap, air rifle, .22 rifle, and centerfire rifle shooting available, along with fly tying and lessons on how to cast. There was an awful lot of gun safety being stressed as well. Great day for the kids, and for my gun club. Happy to have been part of it.

What a great idea. Glad to see it working so well. We have National Fishing Day here in Canada, but it isn't pushed as hard as it should be pushed.
