Need .458 Lott, 300 gr TSX load data (h322 or H4198)

In Australia we call H4198 ... AR2207.
A friend and I did some playing with a locally produced monolithic prototype of 300gr weight ... me in a 458AccRel, friend in a 458Lott.
In the 458Lott ... 80gr AR2207 was pushing 2875fps ... working upto 84gr for 2925fps.
Safest bet is to always start with the maximum 458WinMag loads and just leap-frog up in 2gr increments. But somewhere between 80gr through to 85gr will probably be where you'll end up. Actually ... you can go higher but I wouldn't recommend that in somebody elses unknown rifle. :mrgreen:

I am playing with the Ruger #1 again in the 458 Lott. Found a good load with the 300 TTSX. 94 gr H335 will launch it at 2850 fps with good accuracy and no excess pressure.
Problem is that it is so compressed that after seating and crimping it requires me to take the de-capping pin assembly out of the resizing die and resizing first 25% of the full loaded cartridge in order to slip nicely into the chamber which it does like virgin brass. This is the step I want to skip.
I believe RL 7 AA 1680 H4198 or IMR 4198 are fast enough that they will not be compressed, hence no issue. Problem is most people/manufacturers are sane (unlike me) and load the Lott as it were meant to be loaded. 450-500 gr bullets. Now these heavy bullets I have loaded with excellent results. I have plenty of loads with these. Its the light ones I want to send out at fast speeds.....you know for scientific data purposes . LOL
