I just purchased these and can't find any load data on Nosler I loaded fifty rounds with Bullseye powder 5.1 grams Overall length 1.238" I wanted to try these tapered bullets in my Kimber Pro Carry II that always fails to feed regular ball ammo. Any info would be helpful. I will also feed these to my Glocks that eat anything.

Welcome to the Nosler Reloading Forum! Good bunch of guys here.

Looks like you've got a couple of things going on:

First: "wanted to try these tapered bullets in my Kimber Pro Carry II that always fails to feed regular ball ammo."

WOW! If I had a .45 ACP of any kind that wouldn't feed standard 230 gr RN ball ammo - it would be in the hands of a competent smith. The Kimber should gobble up regular ol' 230 gr ammo like crazy. If it won't feed ball ammo well, it's got a problem. Any good pistolsmith ought to be able to solve that, unless maybe it was built way wrong from the factory. Could easily be a magazine problem as well.

Second: You betcha! I haven't loaded the specific 230 gr bullet you reference, but most of them respond very nicely to around 5 grains of Bullseye. I've been loading that charge literally for decades with various 230 gr bullets. A few interesting things I've noted about Bullseye:

It's been around a LONG time. However I suspect it may have been changed/improved over the years. You'll find Bullseye data going back many years.

I like the "snappy" slide action it imparts to my 1911. Very quick, reliable functioning.

Because of the low charge weights it's very easy to create a double-charge situation, which can be downright dangerous! Caution while loading is very important with these fast-burning powders.

With the 1911's, I load to the max length that will reliably function through my magazines. When starting with a new bullet, I'll make up some dummy rounds, no powder or primer, and see if they'll function smoothly from the magazine, into the chamber.

Best of Luck on your project and again, welcome!

I agree with Guy, take your Kimber to a 'Smith and have it looked at. I have an older Kimber Stainless Match and it flat out works even with 200gn lead semi-wad cutters, which I also use 5gn of Bullseye for.

Now that's an accurate load for me! 5.0 Bullseye behind a 200 gr LSWC... Nice... And yes, they feed flawlessly through my beat up old Kimber.

I have tried many magazines, chip mcormick, Ed brown, Wilson combat, Mecgar and Wolff. I tried different ammo also. Winchester white box, Magtech and pmc . I always have the same result the first round fails to load I have to tap the mag 2 or 3 times. I used a Wolff xp recoil spring 24# spring. I also changed the slide release , hammer, sear, strut and adjusted the extractor. Basically I now have a Ed brown gun with a Kimber slide. Oh yea mainspring housing and spring was replaced also with Ed brown product. Before these changes it was worse ie stove piping and jamming on every round. Last week at the range the range officer gave me 5 of his loads 200gr semi wads it loaded without an issue. Right now the gun is at my gunsmith hopefully he will figure something out.
