Went to the range today and a little hotter load and a longer OAL.
I don't know how to send photos but the load had 2 out of 3 touching and the other one was a slight pull.
At 300 yards I placed 4 shots inside a Toonie  Canadian Hey.
The primers are a little flatter but 1 grain under max.

Blessings,
Dan

Not bad at all, Dan. Congratulations. It does feel good when it all comes together.

Dan, if you are having issues, send me a PM or something and I will post up your pictures. Gotta get them groups up! What rifle was it? Your Whelen? Scotty

I wish it was the Whelen :) but still don't have it. Mike is going to break and work up the load using 225ABs. The rifle I am playing with is my 270 win in the CDL. I up the powder from 53.5grs to 54grs of IMR 4350 and I changed the OAL(a little longer) and it tighten up a little more. I am quite sure that I will have 3 touching at 100yards. I am 1.5" high which should be dead on at 200. The 130 ABs are scary accurate out that 24" barrel  The primers have flattened out a little but nothing to worry about.
I am going to load after supper, I am not sure if I am going to do a 100 or 200
Blessings,
Dan

My 35 Whelen CDL shoots great too buddy. It loves the 250 PT's alot. I am looking forward to hearing about your Whelen, I know it is going to be a true hammer.

Your 270 sounds really dialed in! Can't imagine much of anything escaping it's wrath! Send me the pics and I will put them up. Scotty
