New #1 Project.

My Grandfather had a #1B in 25-06 that he used to shoot squirrels with! I remember that he had to do some fiddling with the fore arm and hanger before it would shoot, but after he got it dialed....that thing would shoot! 25-06 Ackley would be sweet and with some H1000 or RL26, I'm sure it would be a screamer. A .257 STW or .257- 7mm rem mag could be fun but are all probably pretty close to a .257 weatherby? A .257 Robert's or .257 Roberts Ackley Improved seems like it could fit the #1 style pretty well...

Is it a B, V or S?

.358 Norma or .358 STA sound adventurous!

As nice as it looks I would make it a Antelope Rifle in a Standard 25-06 Rem no Wildcat just a Classic.
I also would lean to more Standard twist rate Or close to it as even with all this long range talk most 99.9 % Of Big Game is still bagged at less than 500 yards.
What would be the perfect twist rate for Nosler’s 115Gr BT ?

Yes it is a 25-06 AI 40* 1:7 twist

Got 128 gr Hammers and 131 Ace BJ bullets ready.

Will be loading some 75 gr v maxes with blue dot or unique for fireforming.

Those 128 Hammers should be something. Whew!

I am figuring about 3100 fps easy Scott.
I am thinking about mounting a Razor 3-15-42mm LHT HD on it.

Dang Fotis. I dig that man. Those look mean and I’d bet anything over 3000 with that long devil will be seriously cool. I’ve always wanted a fast twist 257 rifle.

26" standard 1B factory contour sir.

Sounds good. Let us know the details when you get around to load development and shooting her...

Excellent!

This ought to be one heck of a mule deer, pronghorn, and even elk rifle!

When you're tired of it, please let me know.
